However today those who know their cigars cannot get enough of this big Cohiba which set a trend when it comes to size. The good news is that his latest offering from Cohiba is a standard offering and not a limited edition. At 6.25 inches and with a substantial 54 ring gauge one would have bitten ones hand off to sample such a large torpedo ten years ago. But unfortunately the blend proves to be something of a disappointment for all but die hard Cohiba fans. It does not have the rich, spicy almost peppery taste of a Siglo VI and is almost bland in comparison being virtually one dimensional from beginning to end !

Sure it is a great size with a lot of presence and looks all the better for the new style band but fails to deliver the tradional taste and flavour one would associate with the original "classic" range. Maybe Cohiba had intended this to be a more approachable cigar for the majority of smokers but I was left wanting more ? Will have to wait and see if it will improve with time.

The Bolivar B2 is the 2010 Regional Edition for Canada. With only 1000 boxes made, these gorgeous Torpedos won't last long.

Like most regional cigars released for Canada, this Bolivar is mild in flavour with an obvious sweet taste. One of the most noticeable things about this release was how well and firm the ash held, keeping the cigar nice and cool.

If you generally enjoy Bolivar, this cigar is definitely worth a try. You get some simillar flavours but with a unique touch.
