Created in 1932 by Juan Cano, this brand is often hard to find due to the small production quantities of what are generally now machine made sizes. However it has in the past produced medium-strength cigars and excellent workmanship in the handmade vitolas.
The cigar La Flor de Cano Short Rubusto 2010 was released as an exclusive Regional Edition for the U.K market. The long awaited distribution of this unique cigar has been eagerly anticipated by connoisseurs and aficionados who can recall the original Short Churchill back in the early 1980's.
This was a cigar which pretty much went under the radar back then but re-emerged as a significant investment commodity as prices for pristine cabinets of 25 cigars sold for well in excess of £4,000.00 on the back of interest from collectors in Hong Kong who recognized how this surprising cigar improved and evolved with age.
The new cigar has been rolled in the La Corona factory and is available as a limited production of just 1200 numbered boxes. To read more about La Flor de Cano and its origins visit the WebSite www.laflordecano.com which gives a fascinating insight into the history of this little known brand.
Suffice to say it just may prove again to be a shrewd long term investment besides a darn good smoke !
