'Nicarao Reserva Especial' 2015 Limited Edition in Stock !

'Nicarao Reserva Especial' 2015 Limited Edition in Stock !

London, England, 4, February 2019.

Nicaraguan puro, Nicarao Especial is blended with unique leaves. Three peculiarities give Nicarao Especial its unique personality.

First (1), the leaves are harvested from the best plots on our farms. The leaves come from the best microclimates of our Nicaraguan terroirs. Cigars are similar to wines; only a few meters can make the difference between a grand cru and a simple appellation. Understanding the soil and the environment is essential for a singular cigar production. Second (2), after harvest and first fermentation, the leaves are selected and classified with especially meticulous precision. Classification is therefore finer than the one for standard market leaves. Third (3), the leaves are kept around one year longer in fermentation and aging than market standard leaves. Having leaves from 2 to 5 ½ years makes the Nicarao Especial a cigar rolled with a moderately aged leaves.

Those 3 peculiarities give Nicarao Especial blend an outstanding depth in its taste and a delicacy in its strength. The blend reveals its character with refined elegance.

The Nicarao Especial is a medium to full body cigar (#6½ to #7 fortaleza) that reveals an amazing richness of aromas and tastes. Along with noble and gorgeous Central American spices, Nicarao Especial delivers woody and animal fragrances, moving towards pleasant toasty and sweet evolution. Besides the aromatic progression, the cigar remains remarkably well-balanced all during the tasting.

E Pérez-Carrillo Encore 'Majestic' Cigar Aficionado "2018 Cigar of the Year"

London, England, 14, Janaury 2019.

EP Carrillo Encore cigars are the only blend in the popular Family Series made with 100% aged Nicaraguan tobaccos.

The cigars are also noted for using a unique fermentation process where the filler tobaccos are aged in "tercios", where palm tree bark is wrapped around the tobacco to create tight bales. This process allows a natural two-way humidification system that brings out the utmost in flavours and aromas from these deeply fermented leaves. This medium body gem provides copious amounts of sweet smelling smoke and mouthwatering nuances of rich earth and a distinct tobacco sweetness, accented with hints of cocoa powder and spice.

The EP Carrillo Encore is suitably named, because this is a smoke you’ll come back to time and time again!

This year's "Cigar of the Year" as voted for by readers of the Cigar Aficionado magazine is Ernesto Perez-Carrillo's creation the "Encore Majestic". The Latest size to join the Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo Series 'Le Hoyo Rio Seco' has arrived.

The Latest size to join the Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo Series 'Le Hoyo Rio Seco' has arrived.

London, England, 18, December 2018.

Le Hoyo de Río Seco (56 x 140 mm length) is a new heavy ring gauge vitola that is added to the Serie Le Hoyo after the incorporation of the Le Hoyo de San Juan vitola, which continues to enrich this historic line and range in heavier ring gauges, which did not have a major presence in the brand until now.

The Seco, Volado and Ligero leaves that make up the smooth flavour blend of Hoyo de Monterrey come exclusively from the San Juan y Martínez* tobacco-growing district (P.A.O.), continuing the strength that was unveiled with the Le Hoyo de San Juan vitola. With this new vitola, the preparation of Habanos blends with the specific characteristics of the different Cuban Appellations of Origin is further deepened. This strength, which contributes consistency and intensity, is typical of this area's soil.

The Serie Le Hoyo has historically been known for its slender and medium ring gauges. The new Le Hoyo de Río Seco vitola is the second heavy ring gauge vitola to be included within the Le Hoyo series; an appealing option for those who like Habanos with less strength that are delicate, aromatic and with a great elegance and complexity.

All the vitolas of the Hoyo de Monterrey Habanos brand are made " Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga " - Totally Handmade with Long Filler - by expert Cuban cigar rollers.

The format of this Vitola de Galera, Aromosos (56 ring gauge x 140 mm length) promised Le Hoyo de Río Seco a very well-received by Hoyo de Monterrey aficionados, a brand set to become the benchmark for heavy ring gauge and medium length formats for those looking for an elegant flavour that is also robust and balanced at the same time.

London, England, 18, July 2018.

The Montecristo Línea 1935 comprises of three vitolas or sizes presented in an innovative and distinctive new box design with an elegant Carmelite lacquer finish and bevelled edges.

The traditional brown Montecristo band on each cigar is complimented by a separate gold " Linea 1935 " band stating the vitola or size. But for the first time each cigar is adorned with a third complimentary base band with a traditional gold fleur-de-lis that has distinguished the Montecristo brand since its inception. Very smart ….

The Línea 1935 line offers three premium cigars, two of which are unprecedented in the Habanos portfolio: Maltés (6" (153 mm) x 53) and Dumas (5¼ (130 mm) x 49), while Leyenda (6½ (165 mm) x 55) is identical to the special limited edition Montecristo 80th Aniversario, launched in 2015 to commemorate the brand's 80th Anniversary.

Legend has it that the classic Montecristo No.2 was used to launch the Montecristo brand at the Alfred Dunhill shop in New York City back in 1935 hence the name chosen to identify this new range of premium full strength cigars.

Montecristo is the best known and, perhaps, the most appreciated Habanos brand and is considered by many to be the benchmark for Habanos flavour. Its name had its origins in the novel The Count of Montecristo, by Alexandre Dumas, enormously popular with cigar rollers at the H. Upmann factory in Havana, where the cigars were first rolled in 1935.
