TRINIDAD CABILDOS PREMIEER PACK OF 5 CIGARS

The Trinidad Cabildos measures 6 3/8” (162mm) x 46 ring gauge and is known as an Ilustres in the factories of Cuba, it is a unique size within the Habanos portfolio. As with all Trinidad’s it has an aromatic and approachable medium bodied blend, beautifully framed by the slight sweetness that the dark wrapper provides.

It is the fourth Edición Limitada from the brand, following the Ingenios (2007), Short Robusto T (2010) and Topes (2016).

These cigars have all been made totally by hand using long filler leaves, all sourced from the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba and aged for a minimum of two years.

EMINENTE CUBAN RUM GRAN RESERVA 10 YEARS OLD

Premium Cuban rum from Eminente here. The aguardiente was made from molasses distilled to 75% ABV (alcohol by volume) and then aged in white oak ex-whisky barrels before being blended and aged again with traditional light Cuban rum distilled to 95% ABV. For the first edition of Eminente Gran Reserva, the 10-year-old Cuban rum was then treated to a three-month finish in French oak barrels in a dry cellar. Beautiful stuff, this.

Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose – Intense, elegant, and complex – the initial aroma of freshly roasted coffee, red fruits, and flowers gives way to a touch of honey and vanilla with a nice almost minty freshness.

Palate -W ell-balanced, unctuous, and deep with a fruity profile, driven by dried apricot and orange blossom with notes of sandalwood, hazelnut, and allspice.

Finish – Silky, persistent, and sweet with the spicy character of Sichuan pepper, caramel, pine sap, and saffron.

 

CIGAR BOX OPENER

Cuba was the first country to introduce the classic labelled cigar box in the mid-19th Century and it remains the best-known form of cigar packaging today.

Unsurprisingly, the first cigar box opener followed shortly after. This box opener has been inspired by an example owned by Hunters & Frankau which dates back to the late 19th Century and made by Shefield company Joseph Marples, a family-owned business established in 1840.

It is entirely handmade, with an Indian rosewood handle, a brass hammer, and a polished spring steel blade.
