The XIX Habano Festival had finished with the Montecristo brand as the main protagonist.

La Habana, Cuba 3 Mar 2017. XIX Habanos Festival this year principally features the Montecristo brand and a new range of prestigious cigars entitled the “Linea 1935” or 1935 Line. These three new sizes or vitolas pay homage to the brand which was first launched at the Dunhill store in New York City in 1935.With a full strength flavour for the first time the first two sizes are brand new vitolas in the Habanos portfolio. The Maltés measures 53×153 mm. While the Dumas is shorter at 49 x 130 mm. But the Leyenda or “Legend” at 55 x 165mm mirrors the special limited edition Montecristo 80 Aniversario, launched in 2015 to commemorate the brand's 80th Anniversary. All cigars come in boxes of 20 much as the earlier “Open” range. H.Upmann fans will be pleased by the introduction of a “Sir Winston” Gran Reserva Cosecha 2011 (47 x 178 mm) available in only 5,000 numbered black lacquered boxes. Gran Reservas use tobacco from a specific crop-in this case 2011-that is deemed special enough for a vintage. They are limited, typically to 5,000 boxes of 15, that are substantially higher-end than the typical packaging. While the Sir Winston is officially the 2017 entry, Habanos S.A. has not been releasing the cigars in normal fashion. The 2015 release-the Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchills Gran Reserva Cosecha 2009-has still not been released, neither has the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 Reserva Cosecha 2012, which was last year's Reserva. While it might take a while for the Sir Winston Gran Reserva to show up on shelves, prerelease versions will be given to attendees of the gala dinner at the end of this week's XIX Festival del Habano in Havana.Meanwhile Quai D'Orsay receives a make-over with an all new brand / band design and the introduction of 3 cigars – the Corona Claro plus two entirely new vitolas the No 50 (50 x 110 mm) and No 54 (54 x135 mm) – galera name: Edmundo Grueso. This is the very first time the Edmundo Grueso vitola goes into Habanos S.A.'s classic portfolio. Finally the brand Romeo y Julieta presents the all new Petit Royales (47 x 95 mm), a fashionable size with a heavy ring gauge and short length for those that face a time constraint when smoking cigarsThe Edition Limitadas for 2017 will feature – Cohiba Talisman 6 ½ (154mm) X 54 in Boxes of 10 – Partagás Serie No.1 5 3/8 (138mm) x 52 in Boxes of 25 – Punch Regios de Punch 4 ¾ (120mm) x 48 also in Boxes of 25
